A homeowner is being charged after allegedly shooting an unhoused man in the chest with a pellet gun.

A Shreveport man charged with vehicular homicide after he caused a multi-vehicle wreck that killed one man and seriously injured several others, including a child, will be sentenced this summer after pleading guilty in Caddo District Court earlier this month.

The Shreveport Police Department responded to a distress call on May 7, at approximately 6:39 p.m., regarding an armed individual posing a threat to public safety. The incident occurred at 900 Lewis Place, where reports indicated that a 19-year-old male, Bobby Davis, was brandishing a firearm and threatening individuals in the vicinity.

On Friday, May 3, at approximately 3:59 p.m., officers from the Shreveport Police Department responded to a major vehicular collision near the intersection of Jewella Avenue and Stonewall Street. The incident involved a gray Nissan Murano and a blue and yellow off-road motorcycle.

One person has been arrested and another is still wanted for a shooting that happened in Shreveport in mid-April.

At approximately 11:55 p.m. on May 5, officers responded to a call of domestic trouble at a residence in the 1700 block of Peach Street. Upon arrival, officers encountered a female, identified as 19-year-old Brandejah Thomas, who appeared to be extremely intoxicated and was reportedly screaming at the occupants of the residence.
