Chester Lee Johnson Jr. has been behind bars at Caddo Correctional Center for nearly five years, awaiting trial amidst a series of serious charges. Johnson, who has become the facility's longest-serving inmate, faces allegations ranging from pandering to armed robbery, aggravated by incidents of assault on law enforcement and correctional officers.

As Louisiana prepares for the new permitless concealed carry law, there are questions about where you can and can’t carry a concealed gun. The new law takes effect July 4 and gives any eligible Louisiana residents 18-years-old or older the right to carry a gun without the need for a permit, or gun training courses.
