Shreveport police are investigating three separate shootings overnight that left two men and a woman injured.

The Shreveport Police Department is seeking the public's help in locating 18-year-old Michael Casey, who is wanted in connection with the July 4th shooting that resulted in the death of a 20-year-old man.

On July 7, at approximately 4:20 a.m., Shreveport police officers conducted a traffic stop at the corner of Spring Street and Travis Street.

On July 6, Shreveport Police Jail Personnel were attempting to transport 33-year-old Sammy Powell to the Caddo Correctional Facility when Powell became irate and refused to cooperate with the jail staff. During the incident, Powell made multiple threats to the jail staff and ultimately attacked one of the jailers before being subdued.

The Shreveport Police Department has arrested 43-year-old William Chappel on numerous charges following a traffic stop on July 6 at the intersection of Market Street and Wall Street.

On Saturday, July 6, at approximately 3 a.m., Shreveport Police were dispatched to the 6100 block of Bert Kouns Industrial Loop at the River Oaks Apartments in response to a call reporting domestic trouble. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a female had been involved in a domestic dispute with 18-year-old Jacob Sevin.

A Shreveport man who shot and killed a 12-year-old for reportedly breaking into his car outside his home in May has been indicted by the Caddo Parish Grand Jury for manslaughter.
