She also was found guilty of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in connection with a 2004 manslaughter conviction that prohibits her from owning or possessing a firearm until 2029.

'A preliminary investigation indicates that during the processing of Mr. Fleming's transfer between secure detention facilities with mutually exclusive jurisdictions over his detention, a miscommunication occurred between the office of juvenile services and the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office. This resulted in Mr. Fleming being released from custody when an unusual sentencing quirk of consecutive sentences of incarcerations in the separate systems, imposed years ago, was missed and inadvertently not reported to, or discovered by, OCC personnel. The Sheriff's Office is in the process of taking remedial action to close the loophole in order to prevent a recurrence should this rare set of circumstances combine again.'
