A Shreveport woman accused of shaking a baby to death is headed to prison for life after she was found guilty.

On June 28 at approximately 8:15 pm, Shreveport police officers conducted a traffic stop in the 2900 block of Amherst Street. The vehicle refused to stop, leading officers on a pursuit through the neighborhood.


Shreveport Police have arrested 30-year-old Quallian Ware for one count of aggravated battery following an incident that occurred on July 7 in the 2600 block of Greenwood Road.

Shreveport Police have arrested 20-year-old Malachi Bailey on multiple charges following an investigation into a shooting that occurred in the early morning hours of July 10. Officers were called to a local hospital where a male was being treated for a gunshot wound that occurred outside of Shreveport.

On July 6 at approximately 7 a.m., Shreveport police officers were dispatched to a vehicle burglary in the 200 block of Lake Street. Officers discovered that notably an assault rifle and ammunition had been stolen from inside a vehicle among other things.

On July 6, at approximately 2:27 a.m., proactive Shreveport Police Officers attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Centenary Boulevard and Kings Highway. The vehicle refused to stop, and officers initiated a pursuit. During the chase, officers observed a backseat passenger pointing a handgun at them.

On Saturday, July 6, at approximately 6:15 p.m., Shreveport Police officers were dispatched to a local hospital regarding a female suffering from injuries sustained in a domestic incident.
