
Shreveport Man Taken into Custody for a String of Armed Robberies!
The Shreveport Police Department has arrested Joshua Williams, who was wanted in connection with a string of armed robberies in the area.

On Aug. 5, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Shreveport Police officers were dispatched to Southern Hills Park, located in the 1000 block of Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, in response to a report of a suspicious person.

The Shreveport Police Department has arrested 31-year-old Matthew Tate in connection with a shooting that occurred on June 9 in the 500 block of West 76th Street. Tate is accused of the shooting, which resulted in the victim being struck in the arm. The victim was transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

At approximately 11 a.m. on Aug. 2, the Shreveport Police Department's Violent Crimes Abatement Team, in partnership with Caddo Parish Juvenile Services probation officers, executed a search warrant at 600 Harrison Street. This joint effort resulted in the arrest of a 14-year-old juvenile on outstanding warrants and the possession of five firearms.

On Saturday, Aug. 3, at 4:35 p.m., Shreveport Police Patrol Officers responded to a welfare concern at 1906 North Market Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered a female victim suffering from numerous bite marks.

On July 30 and 31, members of the Violent Crimes Abatement Team, along with the Shreveport Police Department, the Shreveport City Marshal’s Office, and Caddo Parish Juvenile Services, collaborated on a warrant operation. The purpose of this operation was to execute arrest warrants issued by the Caddo Parish Juvenile Courts against parents and guardians who have neglected to bring their children to scheduled juvenile court appearances.

The Judiciary Commission of Louisiana has filed multiple charges of misconduct against Shreveport City Court Judge Sheva Sims. The Commission has set hearings on the charges beginning November 18 of this year in New Orleans.
