Some very tense moments in downtown Shreveport on Sunday ended tragically. At about 2 in the afternoon, Shreveport officers responded to a call at Marshall and Crockett Streets on a report of a man trying to break into cars. The man was reportedly carrying a gun.

May 17, 2025 – Just after 2:30 p.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to an animal complaint in the 7200 block of Brantway Street. Upon arrival, officers learned that an individual, identified as Justin Tackett, had been involved in an altercation at a residence.

A Shreveport Police Department officer was arrested and charged with alleged child endangerment and interfering with emergency communications.









The Shreveport Police Department, in partnership with City of Shreveport officials, continues its ongoing efforts to eliminate illegal squatting throughout our city. As part of the initiative under the newly enacted city ordinance targeting squatting, multiple individuals were recently arrested for occupying residences unlawfully.

It was just past 8:15 p.m. on Saturday when Shreveport Police responded to the 3100 block of Greenway Place following reports of indecent behavior. Residents in the area had reported a man exposing himself.

Christopher Morris was arrested May 6 in the 8800 block of Coyth Lane with the help of an SPD K9.

On May 6, 2025, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to a distressing situation near Sussex Avenue and Corbett Street. A school bus driver reported discovering a young child—approximately three years old—running naked in the street during a rainstorm. The child had taken shelter on the bus by the time officers arrived.

A Caddo Parish jury today found Travis June, 35, of Shreveport, guilty of attempted molestation of a juvenile. The verdict came after more than two hours of deliberation in District Judge Ramona Emanuel's court.

Max Sharp, owner of Directional Service, was arrested May 9th, following a home invasion. Sharp allegedly broke into the home of a former girlfriend, destroying her phone and other possessions. It is reported that he had been stalking her and was upset she was seeing someone else. Broken windows and a smashed phone can be seen in police photos.
