Bossier Parish property tax notices were recently mailed to property owners in the parish. Homeowners and businesses can begin making their payments in person, by mail, online, and by drive-through at any of their convenient locations in the parish. All locations will be open 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except for observed holidays. Please note, since the offices will be closed on Friday, Dec. 23, and Monday, Dec. 26, Sheriff Whittington will waive interest on payments through Tuesday, Jan. 3.

The Bossier City Police Department’s Crash Investigation Unit is requesting the public’s assistance with identifying a suspect from a hit-and-run crash in South Bossier’s Savannah Place subdivision.

A Caddo Parish resident mortally who was injured in a head-on collision in the north part of the parish Sunday, Nov. 20, has been named by the Caddo Parish Coroner's Office.

On Nov. 13, a white malewearing a black jacket and blue jeans entered Kroger at 1051 George Dement Blvd. The suspect presented $1,500 in gift cards to the cashier, then counted out $1,500 and placed them in three stacks of $500.

A Bossier City man with past felony convictions, including a 1989 manslaughter for which he received a 21-year prison sentence, has been found guilty in Caddo District Court of attempting to unlawfully possess a firearm.

Narcotics agents with the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office arrested a Shreveport man after they found illegal drugs, packaging material and a firearm in his home on Tuesday, Nov. 15, said Sheriff Steve Prator.
