Man sentenced to 18-year prison term

Caddo Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested an 18-year-old man for shooting two brothers, fatally wounding one and sending the other to the hospital, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

A woman accused of throwing her young sons into Cross Lake two years ago, killing her 10-month-old and injuring his older brother, was found guilty in Caddo District Court Wednesday. The trial began Monday.

As of Aug. 24, Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator said that the Caddo Correctional Center was housing 1,399 inmates in a facility designed to hold 1,070.

The Bossier City Police Department Property Crimes Division requests the assistance of the public. On or about Aug. 24, an unidentified black male subject wearing a white T-shirt and white shorts went into the Lowe’s located at 2360 Airline Drive in Bossier City multiple times and stole property from the business.
