Shreveport Police investigate Friday morning shooting

Shreveport Police Violent Crimes detectives are busy Friday morning in their efforts to determine what led to the fatal shooting of a 26 year old woman overnight. 

Just after 3:00 a.m. on April 3, 2020, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to the 300 block of Herndon Street relative to a shooting.  As officers arrived at the home, it was learned an adult female was suffering a single gunshot wound to the chest.  The woman, whose identity has not been released, succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

It is suspected the victim was inside the Herndon Street home with other occupants when the incident occurred. At current, investigators are in the early stages of their inquiry and have not identified any suspects in the shooting.  Persons with any information relative to the matter are asked to contact Crimestoppers at (318) 673-7373 or visit P3tips.com to leave tips online.
