Caddo Parish Schools makes up twelve districts with twelve individuals representing those districts. Caddo Parish Schools also has 30 schools ranked D and F. Some 56 schools, and 30 ranked D and F, where is the outcry.
I embraced coffee the summer after high school. The world didn’t yet know 1,200- calorie coffees at $5 a cup. But my drink of choice was not unlike today’s brewed desserts: coffee in instant cocoa.
There are a couple (at least) of significant days this month, first Daylight Savings Time begins next Sunday March 8. Be sure and adjust your timepiece accordingly. Second, spring begins at 1:50 Friday, March 20. Keep in mind, if you have a “Yankee laid-out calendar,” it will say spring begins at 11:50 pm EDT. We are in the Central Time Zone. I at one time thought it would be a good idea to just leave our clocks set on Standard Time; however, after changing my P.O. Box so that I could receive my mail about five miles closer to home, change messes up lots of “stuff.” Best we just change our clocks like we have been and be happy.

The ugly, ugly, ugly impasse between Shreveport Mayor Adrian Perkins and the Shreveport City Council over two mayoral appointments needs to end. Perkins has nominated Henry Whitehorn to be the chief administrative officer (CAO) and Sherricka Fields Jones, the current CAO, to be the new chief financial officer (CFO).
Ah, life’s mysteries. Today, we ask the unanswerable questions of human existence.
With four days of sunshine, a lot can be accomplished. Especially with wind gusts up to “20 miles per hour” and there is no telling what could be done in North Louisiana with a few more days of drying weather.
