When the qualifying for the November election closed on July 24, a somewhat disturbing trend continued. Several races were unopposed.
I have a lot of opinions abut wearing a mask. Let’s face it, we are all going to have to wear a mask to make the effort to keep from getting the virus and from passing it around if you should unknowingly have it.

“Summertime and the livin’ is easy.” I’m thinking that the summer of 2020, might be described like this: “Summertime and livin’ is easy?” It’s all in the punctuation.
As a publisher/editor/reporter, I am always looking for the next "big story."


In the last few weeks yard signs for judicial candidates have popped up like spring weeds.

In the spirit of Major League Baseball tossing its first pitch of the abbreviated 60-game season on Thursday, I am going to use this time to look back a little before focusing on the future. I am going to try and focus on players who starred in the past 80 years, so players like Babe Ruth, Walter Johnson, Cy Young, Honus Wagner and Ty Cobb won’t be the pick, although their “numbers” may be better. This will surely spark some debate, so if you disagree with anything you read here, let me know!
