UPDATE - STORM-RELATED ROAD CLOSURES:

The following roads are currently closed due to overnight severe weather:

Caddo Parish:
- I-49 northbound & southbound at Kings Highway due to downed wires

Bossier Parish: 

Highway 157 is down to one lane near Davis Road. If you don’t need to be in the area, please stay away.

Fallen trees have been removed from numerous roadways in the parish, but there is still small debris on roads, so please proceed with caution. Numerous downed power lines are also being checked by SWEPCO.  

1 AM - HIGHWAY 3 FROM BURT BLVD. TO HIGHWAY 162 IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED... DUE TO A DOWNED NEARBY SONIC SIGN ON BURT BLVD... JUST ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE BOSSIER PARISH COURT

Here are reported roadways with downed trees or power lines:

Potter Road

Oliver Road - multiple trees down

Camp Zion Road

Davis Road

Maxwell Road

James Lane - multiple trees down

Highway 157 (6600 block)

Chestnut

Montgomery

Alford Road

There are also reports of downed trees in various homes, but no reported injuries.  Crews from Bossier Parish Police Jury and Haughton Police Department are also out and about diligently working damaged scenes.

Bienville Parish:
- US 80 at Webster/Bienville Parish line due to downed trees/power lines

Claiborne Parish:
- LA 154 near Athens due to downed power lines

Webster Parish:
- US 371 just south of I-20 due to downed trees/power lines

 

Please use caution when traveling in areas experiencing storm damage, and only drive through those areas if absolutely necessary.
