Wednesday morning, a trooper with Louisiana State Police Troop L was taken into custody charged with one count of Production and Distribution of Pornography Involving Juveniles.
Thursday, Gov. John Bel Edwards and E.I. Williams Industries President Jim Williams announced the Canadian company will establish a Louisiana facility to manufacture industrial sound-control equipment in Webster Parish. E.I. On Wednesday night, at 10:10 pm, Bossier City Police officers and Fire Department personnel responded to a call of a shooting in the 2100 block of Scott Street. Police located 18-year-old Xavier Jackson of Bossier City with a gunshot wound to the abdominal area. Jackson was transported to LSU Oschner hospital but later died from the injury.
The Caddo-Bossier Parishes Port Commission recently purchased 19- plus acres of property on Harts Island Road near the LSU Pecan Station. The four tracts with residences sold for a total price of $2.835 million.

Shreveport police officers have formed a new union. “Back in December we formed a new police union under the international association of police,” said Officer Angie Willhite. “We have an association here. We wanted to combine with our brothers and sisters across the United States and fall underneath an international organization. So we formed a new Shreveport police union. We are Local 275 under IUPA (International Union of Police Associations).”
