The festival is being facilitated by the City of Shreveport, but not subsidized by the City. Jackson's G-Unit has rented the City's public facilities and will reimburse the City for its labors by various departments in preparation for the events and for the services to be provided during the festival. G-Unit is paying all the costs for installation and operation of the dome which includes site preparation, utilities, and sanitation stations. MLB Trade Deadline!
The trade deadline is fast approaching (August 30th) and many clubs are starting to make some headlines as some big names are being shopped ahead of the Tuesday deadline. The tough part to navigate for some clubs is determining if they’re still in the hunt for the postseason or if it’s time to look towards 2025 and move pieces to get more controllable (contract-wise) talent. Much like the list above, here are some names to watch who might be looking for a new place to live in the coming week. SP Garret Crochet (Chicago White Sox with a trade possible to the Orioles, Dodgers or Padres), OF Luis Robert (Chicago White Sox with a trade possible to the Phillies, Orioles and Dodgers), OF Randy Arozarena (Tampa Bay Rays with a trade possible to the Mariners, Phillies or Dodgers), 2B/OF Jazz Chisholm Jr. (Miami Marlins with a trade possible to the Cardinals, Guardians or Pirates), OF Jesse Winker (Washington Nationals with a trade possible to the Phillies, Astros or Mariners), SP Jack Flaherty (Detroit Tigers with a trade possible to the Braves, Astros or Guardians), OF Brent Rooker (Oakland A’s with a trade possible to the Mariners, Royals or Phillies), SP Jameson Taillon (Chicago Cubs with a trade possible to the Yankees, Red Sox or Guardians), Bo Bichette (Toronto Blue Jays with a trade possible to the Braves, Giants or Guardians) That’s just a few of the names you could see being moved in the coming days. Trade deadlines are always wild, this year should be no different.

Time Flies: Artport Returns - Revival of Shreveport's Iconic Art Event!
After a decade-long hiatus, Artport is set to return in the summer of 2025, bringing fresh energy to the beloved revolving art show series displayed at Shreveport Regional Airport. In 1990, the Shreveport Regional Airport Beautification Committee sought insight and talent from a local artist and agency owner, Lewis Kalmbach. The now late Lewis Kalmbach and Laura Noland Harter founded Artport to showcase original artwork from 100 local and regional artists in a rotating display. The Artport initiative transformed the airport into a vibrant art gallery. The inaugural event featured 114 artists and a philanthropic auction that benefited the Philadelphia Center in its fight against AIDS.
