Saints and Cowboys have weekends to forget!
Goodness. 51-27 and 47-9. Between the two games the Saints and Cowboys defenses gave up a combined 98 points! There are defensive coordinators in NOLA and Dallas who aren’t earning their money. The Saints had a home matchup versus Tampa Bay. Rookie QB Spencer Rattler was making his first career start. Momentum was building and then boom. Chris Olave was hit hard early and fumbled, making it 10-0. The game was over at the point, we just didn’t know it. Olave was out, kept out of the remainder of the game with a concussion. Baker Mayfield then went to work and diced up the aggressive Saints defense to the tune of 325 yards and four touchdowns. Rookie running back Sean Tucker punched the interior in the mouth and finished with 136 yards on just 14 carries.
