MINDEN, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces a project to lower U.S. 80 at the I-20 overpass west of Minden in Webster Parish. The $2.5 million project will lower the height of the roadway approximately 3.5 feet in the westbound direction and four feet in the eastbound direction as it runs under the interstate, achieving a minimum vertical clearance of 17.5 feet.

Caddo patrol deputies were called to Cameron Park at 5:17 p.m. on Saturday when two teenagers reported finding a suspicious bundle in a grassy area near the parking lot. Deputies responded and confirmed the bundle was a deceased male wrapped in two comforters. The victim was identified as 33-year-old Rodney Christopher Nordby of Shreveport.
