Leaders with the Port of Caddo Bossier and Bossier City turned on the ceremonial spigot to start the water flowing from a new $20 million waterline from Bossier City to The Port of Caddo-Bossier. Construction of the new waterline began in October 2023 and lasted about 10 months. The waterline will provide water to an undeveloped portion of The Port complex on the west side of Highway 1.

A Power of Attorney can be ‘springing’ or ‘non-springing.’ A “non-springing” Power of Attorney is one that is in effect immediately. The authority of the attorney-in-fact to act on behalf of the principal is not contingent upon the principal’s incapacity. A “springing” Power of Attorney means the attorney-in-fact has no authority to act under the document until a certain event happens.
In order for a Power of Attorney to remain in effect upon incapacity, it must be ‘durable.’
