As a parent who helped put four children through college, I know that middle and working-class Americans are struggling under the burden of increased college costs. It's a travesty when parents have to take out second mortgages on their homes just to send their children to college. It should not be that way in the richest country in the world. Instead of making it hard for young people to attend college, we should be making it easier for them, because we know the more education or knowledge that a person has, the better that person does in life.
