A new police substation will be established in southeast Shreveport to help cut down crime and emergency response times along Line Avenue.

In its January 22nd issue, the Bossier Press-Tribune—a legacy print and online newspaper funded extensively by tax dollars and designated as the official journal of record for Bossier City—published an article by Stacey Tinsley that grossly mischaracterizes the facts surrounding two entirely separate measures to amend the Bossier City Charter. This is either intentional deception or negligent reporting, but either way, it misleads Bossier residents about one of the most contentious issues in the city’s recent history: term limits.

While our current programs have made progress, a new well-designed public school, Career and Technology Education (CTE) center, would dramatically expand opportunities for Shreveport students. A centralized facility could house state-of-the-art equipment and labs for advanced training in fields like welding, robotics, automotive, healthcare, aerospace technology, and architecture/construction—resources that individual high schools often lack. This new center would allow for greater collaboration between local industries and educators, ensuring that training aligns with workforce demands.
