The City of Shreveport recently sent out a Recycling Request for Proposal (RFP). The RFP will allow a contractor to submit proposals as to what they are able to do for the $1.9 M that is produced by the $2.50 recycle fee that is collected. The particulars of what will be recycled and where it will be taken will be spelled out in the contract and any deviations from the contract will have to be approved by the City.
