Jessica Miller: Gingerbread House CEO an advocate for children

Children who have undergone abuse, whether physical or sexual, need a place and a means to heal, and the Gingerbread House Children’s Advocacy Center exists to serve those children who have undergone such stressful situations. At its helm is Chief Executive Officer Jessica Milan Miller. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, she moved to Louisiana at the age of 12. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from LSUS, a master’s degree in counseling and guidance from Louisiana Tech and a Master of Business Administration from Centenary College. “I have a long background of work with non-profits in different capacities from development to fundraising to management to serving and chairing the board of directors, and I have been here at the Gingerbread House as CEO since 2003,” Miller said.

I will go over the nine hirings that have taken place this offseason as teams gear up to position themselves to (hopefully) be competing on Super Bowl Sunday, rather than watching it.
