Tony Pollard leads Cowboys past Bears 49-29
Jerry Jones swears that once Ezekiel Elliott is healthy, his role won’t change within the Cowboys offense. That may be the case for a while, but I believe we have seen the last of Zeke as the bell cow back in Dallas. In Elliott’s absence, “backup” running back Tony Pollard ran wild over the Chicago Bears. For the game, Pollard rushed for 131 yards on a career-high three touchdowns on another career high 14 carries. Pollard was used early and often and took full advantage of his opportunities. Those familiar with the Cowboys have been calling for Pollard to be used more in the running game, and this was the perfect stage for him to showcase what he can do when given the opportunities. The Cowboys are on a bye this week, so it will be interesting to see how Zeke and Pollard are used once they’re both back in the fold.
