The upcoming March election of a Shreveport city marshal has heightened voter interest in this office. Here is a brief summary of the functions of this office.

Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Commissioner Dr. KiKi Baker Barnes announced Thursday that the 2023 GCAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship will be held in Shreveport, La., and hosted by the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission. This year’s competition takes place at Lee Hedges Stadium April 14 and 15.

On Jan. 16 the Bossier Republican Executive Committee voted in favor of creating a committee to start getting the signatures required for a referendum to put term limits in place in Bossier City for mayor and council. That effort is underway.

To ALL of Caddo Parish, I am announcing my intent to run for Caddo Parish Commissioner for District 3! I have a proven record in business, community involvement and advocacy for our community. My goals are to maximize efficiency of our government spending, to advocate for more transparent government, fight to help all our citizens feel safe in our community, and fight for growth for Caddo Parish and our surrounding areas. We desperately need more industry in our area to provide healthy growth and income for our citizens. I hope all the residents of District 3 have seen my efforts to make our community better and will support my campaign. The Association is a non-profit organization created to operate for educational purposes by aiding in the advance of the science of jurisprudence, fostering and promoting beneficial legislation affecting the administration of justice in city, parish and municipal courts in Louisiana, and preventing or discouraging the enactment of legislation inimical thereto or detrimental thereof while cooperating with national, state and local bar associations and other judicial organizations in matters of mutual interest. The current leadership of officers were elected at the annual meeting and serve one-year terms.
