Suspect sought in hotel robbery

Shreveport Police investigators are seeking a suspect in the robbery of a local hotel Tuesday evening in west Shreveport. Shortly after 9:30 p.m., on July 16, 2019, Shreveport Police patrol officers were called to the Courtyard Hotel located in the 6000 block of Financial Plaza Drive, relative to an armed robbery of the business. Upon officers arrival, they were advised that a male suspect entered the business armed with a gun. The suspect was wearing dark clothing with white tennis shoes. The suspect demanded employees hand over money from the register. After making off with an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled the hotel on foot in an unknown direction. Still images of the suspect were captured by surveillance video. Investigators are hopeful someone may recognize the suspect involved.
