Golden Meadows man struck by train in South Bossier
A little before noon Saturday, Bossier City police and fire personnel responded to a call of a pedestrian who was struck by a train north of Golden Meadows Drive on Barksdale Boulevard.
The pedestrian, identified as Jeremy Todd Evans, 28 years old, of Golden Meadows, was transported to LSU Oschner hospital with severe injuries, where he later died.
According to the investigation, Evans' was walking south next to the train tracks while wearing headphones when he was struck by a southbound train.
The train was stopped on the tracks, resulting in railroad crossings being blocked on Barksdale Boulevard from Golden Meadows Drive north to Violet Avenue.
