Caddo Grand Jury returns four true bills

The Caddo Parish Grand Jury returned four true bills, two under seal, on Tuesday, July 23, 2019.

The two indictments under seal, due to the nature of the crimes alleged, are the State of Louisiana v. Gentry Elvridge Vinson and the State of Louisiana v. Christopher Scott Deleon Sr.

Vinson, 50 and from Baton Rouge, faces two counts of aggravated rape, two counts of molestation of a juvenile and one count of aggravated incest. Deleon, 27 and from Keatchie, is charged with first-degree rape, sexual battery and simple kidnapping.

The other true bills returned are for murder and other charges.

State v. Larry Delanta Gardner Jr. charges Gardner, 26 and from Shreveport, with second-degree murder and possession of a firearm or carrying a concealed weapon by a convicted felon. State v. Shacortez Jer’Vontavious Monroe, 22 and from Shreveport, charges him with second-degree murder.

Gardner was charged in connection with the April 8, 2019, slaying of Bruce O. Randle, 55, in the 1200 block of Marshall Street. Monroe was charged in connection with the April 11, 2019, shooting death of Cartell D. Willis, 26, on Hoyte Drive.
