Arrest made in last month's fatal downtown crash

Bond has been set over a half-million dollars.  More charges are expected once the Shreveport Police Department concludes their investigation.

The driver of the truck involved in a fatal high-speed chase through downtown Shreveport is out of the hospital and behind bars.

Robert Traylor was booked into the Bossier City Jail on March 9, on active warrants which stemmed from the events of February 21, 2020 resulting in the death of a Shreveport woman, after a collision at the intersection of Crockett and Spring Street.

Traylor refused to stop for Bossier City Police, before leading them on a chase over into Shreveport.

Traylor, who had been in the hospital for injuries he sustained, was booked into Bossier Max on a charge of aggravated flight, three counts of false imprisonment (for the passengers inside his truck),  driving under suspension, speeding, improper turn, no turn signal and improper lane use.

Bond has been set over a half-million dollars.  More charges are expected once the Shreveport Police Department concludes their investigation.
