SHREVEPORT, LA – Shreve Memorial Library is shining a little brighter these days thanks to a grant award from the Louisiana Public Service Commission. The library was awarded a $500,000 Public Entity Energy Efficiency Program grant in December 2019 to upgrade interior and exterior lighting at library branches across the city of Shreveport. New energy-efficient lighting installations not only provide cleaner, brighter light at the library, but also help to improve safety and reduce energy costs annually.
The discontinuance of the city of Shreveport’s recycling program has prompted inquiries on other options available for local citizesn.
