SHREVEPORT SCENE!
The Shreveport Fire Department recently acquired 266 USI 2-in-1 Smoke and Fire Smart Alarms with a 10-year battery thanks to a monetary donation from Willis-Knighton Health System. The alarms will be installed for free by SFD personnel in houses across the city through the department’s smoke alarm installation program. Prior to this donation, the department’s supply of alarms had been almost depleted and was unable to be replenished due to economic and supply chain challenges. This prevented hundreds of citizens from receiving their requested alarm.
