SHREVE MEMORIAL LIBRARY TO CLOSE MONDAY, MARCH 16 FOR CLEANING

SHREVEPORT, LA – As concern for the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak continues to grow, all Shreve Memorial Library branches will be closed Monday, March 16, for cleaning, with plans to reopen the library branches Tuesday, March 17 with reduced hours.

“Because libraries are public spaces, we are taking very serious the concerns being raised surrounding the novel coronavirus, and we are taking all of the necessary precautions to help prevent the spread of this disease in our libraries,” stated John Tuggle, Shreve Memorial Library Executive Director. “The safety and well-being of our patrons and our library staff are of utmost concern. We appreciate the public’s patience and understanding as we work together to try to prevent the spread of this disease in the libraries.”
