Sheriff Julian Whittington says that a 69-year-old Plain Dealing man was pronounced deceased due to the aftermath of Sunday nights storms. The man who lived in the 10000 block of Highway 3 in Plain Dealing died Sunday night after his oxygen machine quit working due to a power outage in his home.
Twenty one residents of Shreveport and Bossier City have been indicted by the United States Attorney's Office on charges of federal bank fraud. In a press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office, Western District of Louisiana, we learn that a federal grand jury has returned an indictment charging 21 defendants in connection with a federal bank fraud case following an investigation into their illegal activities in the Shreveport area.
