Shreveport Police Department Sex Crimes detectives have arrested a wanted sex offender who failed to comply with mandatory registration requirements.

The Caddo Sheriff’s Special Victims Unit has arrested a man from North Shreveport for possessing child pornography, according to Sheriff Henry Whitehorn, Sr.






The Shreveport Police Department continues to see a troubling pattern of domestic violence within our community. At present, the majority of violent crime that our officers respond to involves disputes between household members. This is a cycle we must break together as a department and as a community.


On June 11, 2025, the Shreveport Police Department launched an investigation into a series of similar cell phone thefts connected to the online dating app “Bumble.” The investigation revealed a fraudulent scheme targeting unsuspecting individuals under false romantic pretenses.

On June 23, 2025, members of the Shreveport Police Department’s Violent Crimes Abatement Team (VCAT) acted on intelligence regarding illegal firearm possession by a known offender, Steven Trent.

On June 16th, 2025, at approximately 6:00 PM, Shreveport Police Department officers responded to a 911 call at the intersection of Lakeshore Drive and Portland Street regarding a disturbance involving a female throwing items at a vehicle and an injured woman at the scene.

The Shreveport Police Department’s Sex Crimes Unit is actively searching for Quentin Gandy (09/20/1973), who is wanted in connection with a sexual assault investigation.
Shreveport Police Department property crimes detectives have arrested 34-year-old Brennan Culpepper (1/29/1990) in connection with multiple thefts from a local Walmart.

Bossier City Police responded to a Shots Fired call in the 1600 block of Airline Drive. Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle with a flat tire stopped in the middle of the road and multiple individuals gathered around it. Investigators determined the incident stemmed from a road rage confrontation during which a suspect in one vehicle fired multiple rounds at another vehicle. The victim’s vehicle was struck once, but no injuries were reported. Officers recovered several shell casings from the roadway.
