Shreveport Police have arrested a man in connection with a homicide that occurred this past Thursday on February 11, 2021. Violent Crime detectives procured an arrest warrant for Devontey Bouya (12/25/96) charging him with one count of Second Degree Murder. Investigators learned that Bouya allegedly shot the victim, Treyshun J. Bogan following an altercation. On February 12, 2020, Bouya was located by Shreveport Police at a residence in Shreveport. Following an interview with investigators, he was booked into the Shreveport City Jail.

A man was shot following an altercation with another male in downtown Shreveport Friday night. On February 12, 2021, just before 9:30 p.m., Shreveport Police responded to the 400 block of Spring Street relative to a shooting. Officers located an adult male identified as, James Giles, suffering from a single gunshot wound to the abdomen. Giles was transported to Ochsner LSU Health with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Officers also detained multiple individuals who were also present on-scene.
