On July 16, 2025, Bossier Parish Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Hadrekus Bailey. During the stop, Deputies discovered stolen property inside Bailey's vehicle. He was immediately detained as BSO Detectives launched a follow-up investigation. Further inquiries revealed that Bailey was connected to a string of burglaries committed in the days leading up to the stop. Detectives recovered stolen items taken from five separate residences, including property stolen from a garage, a shed, a vehicle, and items taken from the front porch of a Bossier Sheriff's Office employee.

On Saturday, July 19, 2025, at approximately 11:35 p.m., Shreveport Police Department patrol officers responded to reports of a shooting that had just occurred in the 2100 block of Grimmett Drive. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. The victim was treated on scene and transported to Ochsner LSU Health by the Shreveport Fire Department. His injuries were determined to be non-life threatening.
