On July 16, 2025, Bossier Parish Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Hadrekus Bailey. During the stop, Deputies discovered stolen property inside Bailey's vehicle. He was immediately detained as BSO Detectives launched a follow-up investigation. Further inquiries revealed that Bailey was connected to a string of burglaries committed in the days leading up to the stop. Detectives recovered stolen items taken from five separate residences, including property stolen from a garage, a shed, a vehicle, and items taken from the front porch of a Bossier Sheriff's Office employee.

The Shreveport Police Department's Violent Crimes Abatement Team (VCAT), in collaboration with multiple law enforcement partners, has arrested two individuals and seized multiple firearms and narcotics following a coordinated investigation and search warrant execution.

On Saturday, July 19, 2025, at approximately 11:35 p.m., Shreveport Police Department patrol officers responded to reports of a shooting that had just occurred in the 2100 block of Grimmett Drive. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. The victim was treated on scene and transported to Ochsner LSU Health by the Shreveport Fire Department. His injuries were determined to be non-life threatening.

On Monday, July 14, 2025, at approximately 2:10 p.m., Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to Castlewood Apartments (2045 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop) regarding an assault and battery. Callers reported a male bleeding heavily from the head.

A Caddo Parish inmate is facing new charges after allegedly setting a fire inside the Caddo Correctional Center (CCC) in Shreveport.

On July 19, 2025, Shreveport Police Department officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of West 70th Street and Louise Street. During the stop, a passenger in the vehicle—identified as Ladarius Small—repeatedly refused to comply with officers’ lawful commands to exit the vehicle.
