In a decision released Wednesday, the Louisiana Second Circuit Court of Appeal affirmed the conviction of Grover Cannon, found guilty of the Aug. 5, 2015, slaying of Shreveport Police officer Thomas LaValley.

On Friday, Jan. 7, the Bossier City Police Department responded to a shooting on Foster Street near Beverly Street. The victim was shot while in his vehicle from a suspect in another vehicle and transported to Ochsner Hospital for his injuries. He is listed in stable condition.
