A Shreveport man charged with two counts of possession of a firearm despite previous felony convictions pleaded guilty in Caddo District Court Monday, Aug. 8, and was immediately sentenced.

An Arkansas man was arrested on several charges after Louisiana State Police troopers say that he claimed that there was an explosive device in his car after he crashed on I-20 last Friday, Aug. 5.

On July 18, Shreveport police officers were dispatched to 1125 Shreveport Barksdale Highway in reference to a reported theft in progress. On arrival it was discovered that a black male suspect was believed to have left the store without paying for items.

A suspect wanted for a June homicide has been arrested.
