On Feb. 18 at 6:15 p.m., Shreveport police officers responded to a shooting at Clyde Fant Parkway and Odom during the Krewe of Gemini Parade. Arriving officers located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.

Three of four candidates vying to replace Charlie Caldwell Jr. as Shreveport city marshal visited Broadmoor Tuesday to answer questions from the Broadmoor Neighborhood Association.

Caddo Parish sheriff’s narcotics agents arrested a Shreveport man for several drug and gun related crimes, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

On Feb. 20, Shreveport police officers were contacted in reference to a robbery in the 3600 block of Hollywood Avenue.

On Jan. 1, Shreveport Police Department officers were contacted in reference to a report of domestic abuse in the 4300 block of Illinois Avenue. The victim reported that the suspect, Dekendrey Reddix, strangled her, struck her multiple times in the face, and then pointed a handgun at her while making threats to kill her.

A man who attacked a female police officer last week is behind bars for the crime.

A Keithville man has been arrested for punching and choking his girlfriend over the span of two days, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

On Jan, 23, Shreveport Police Department domestic violence detectives were contacted in reference to ongoing reports of domestic abuse in the 4300 block of Illinois Street .
