Woman identified in Herndon Street shooting

The Caddo Parish Coroner's office has named the city's latest homicide victim.

Shreveport Police responding to a shot-fired call in the 300 block of Herndon Street, in the Highland neighborhood, at 3:30 a.m. Friday, August 3, 2020, found the victim, 26-year-old Taylor D. Baskin. She had been shot several times.

Baskin was pronounced dead at the scene. She was transported to Ochsner LSU Health hospital for autopsy.

The shooting remains under investigation.
