Two arrested in connection with late January homicide

Shreveport Police have arrested two men in connection with a late January homicide. Back on January 25, 2021, Shreveport Police began an investigation of a homicide involving victim, Travante Myles (28). The homicide occurred at a convenience store in the 4900 block of Mansfield Road. Throughout their investigation, violent crime detectives identified Jamarzia Leonard (08-22-1993) and Jalen Jack (DOB 03-27-97) as two suspects involved in this offense. Arrest warrants were procured for both Leonard and Jack.

 

Jalen Jack has been charged with one count of Accessories after the Fact to Second Degree Murder, one count of Failure to report Felony, one count of Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and one count of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. He is also charged one count of Aggravated Battery on an unrelated case.

 

On February 12, 2021, Investigators located Jamarzia Leonard at a residence in Shreveport and arrested him. Leonard is charged with one count of Second Degree Murder. Following an interview with investigators, Leonard was booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
