ITS BACK: SUPERIOR BAR & GRILL PARKING LOT REZONING REQUEST

Superior Bar & Grill has again requested the rezoning of three vacant residential lots on the northeast corner of Line Ave. and Montrose Drive.

If approved, these lots would be used to expand the parking lot at this popular Mexican food eatery.

When before the Shreveport city council in 2018, the request was denied.

The restaurant has is now litigating the denial.

The council will consider a new (identical) rezoning application has been made. This allowed after a one year waiting period for making a successive application for the same request.

The rezoning hearing before the council was hotly contested in 2018 . The objections this year are just as vocal. 

The rezoning approval was on the council's agenda for Tues. June 9. The council postponed the request until the June 23 meeting.

The restaurant is located in councilman John Nichelson's district.
