Caddo Parish reaches 60 COVID-19 deaths

Sunday, April 12, 2020, closed with the number of Caddo Parish resident COVID-19 deaths reaching 60, the Caddo Parish Coroner's office reports. The first Caddo Parish coronavirus death occurred March 24.

The average age of decedents is 68.5 with the youngest age 22, the oldest 96. Black deaths number 47, white deaths 13. Women make up 26 of the decedents, men 34.

All of the deaths were of people with known or suspected pre-existing serious health conditions.

Additionally, there are 19 deaths with COVID-19 test results pending.
