Franklin “Danny” Jacobs was traveling on his motorcycle that he had purchased to save gas, when he was struck head-on by a 2003 Kia Optima driven by 36-year-old Ashley W. Heins of 3634 Beckham in Shreveport. The accident occurred just after 3:00 p.m., according to an accident report obtained by The Inquisitor.

Matthews was originally arrested by Bossier City Police on a charge of aggravated battery, however Bossier District Attorney Schuyler Marvin filed an additional bill of information against Matthews on a charge of obstruction of justice, citing in the bill of information that Matthews had tampered with evidence.
