Just after 5 p.m. on Sunday, Shreveport police patrol officers were called to the 3000 block of Marquette Avenue relative to a burglary in progress. Upon officers’ arrival at the scene, it was learned one male was deceased inside the residence and another male was being detained outside the home.

A local man was arrested on drug charges after he was found to be in possession of crack cocaine. Last Friday, Oct. 5, a Shreveport police officer saw a male subject on adjudicated property at Snow and Pickett streets. The officer saw the man putting a large black baggie behind his back.

Last Friday, Oct. 5, a Shreveport police officer working security at Walmart at 6235 Westport Ave. was alerted by loss prevention staff that Breanna Lashaun Dinkins, 20, of 1609 Anita St. in Bossier City, was packing groceries that were not paid for and trying to go out through the garden exit.
