Early morning shooting on I-220 leaves one dead
The Bossier City Police and Fire Departments is actively working a vehicle crash/shooting on I-220 in North Bossier.
According, to Public Information Officer Traci Landry, at 4:20 a.m. the Bossier City Police and Fire Departments, responded to a vehicle crash on I-220 eastbound just west of the Airline Drive exit.
Upon arrival, first responders located an unresponsive subject inside a vehicle with apparent gunshot wounds. That subject was pronounced dead at the scene.
The female victim is identified as 29-year-old Sheniquel Sade Oneal of Shreveport.
A little before 9 a.m., coroners arrived on the scene. As of 9:30 a.m., the vehicle had not yet been removed.
All lanes of I-220 eastbound between LA 3 (Benton Road) and LA 3105 (Airline Drive) in Bossier City were closed due to the subsequent law enforcement investigation.
Bossier City Police are on scene conducting their investigation, requiring a closure of the eastbound lanes of the interstate in this area.
By noon, all lanes had been opened back up for travel.
