The Bossier City Police Department is currently accepting applications for police officers and jailers. The starting annual pay for both positions is $32,796. Candidates are also eligible for state supplemental pay of $500 per month after one year on the job.

Forty-three men incarcerated at the Bossier Parish Correctional Facility in Plain Dealing graduated last Friday morning, Feb. 27, from the 29th class of the Steve Hoyle Intensive Substance Abuse Program (SHISAP), a substance abuse rehabilitation program that was recently recognized for its efforts to treat and support offenders and their families.
