The officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Horseshoe Boulevard in reference to an intoxicated person. The suspect caused a scene and had a strong odor of alcohol detected from his breath and person, along with poor balance, slurred speech and red blood-shot eyes.

7/28/94, of 10740 Province Place, Keithville, La., was arrested by Officer Taylor on a fugitive warrant. The officer came in contact with the suspect in the 1900 block of Airline Drive in reference to a domestic call. The suspect was found to have a warrant through Shreveport PD.

6/25/78, of 513 Agurs Street, Mooringsport, La., was arrested by Officer Provost on charges of possession of schedule II drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of stolen things and warrants for failure to appear, unauthorized use of vehicle and fugitive warrant through Elayn Hunt Correctional Facility.

11/1/96, of 11969 Graham Road, Keithville, La., was arrested by Officer Vetkoetter on a charge of simple burglary. The officer came in contact with the suspect during a building check. The officer observed the suspect coming out of the concession stand with objects taken from inside.

Every five years, several ad valorem property taxes are placed before the citizens for renewals that provide basic city services and salaries/ benefits for our first responders and other city employees. The last time this occurred was 2013. In 2017 the taxes expired, and we made the decision to only go out for the taxes when necessary, and not before.
