The officer came in contact with the suspect during an investigation in which the victim stated the suspect stole his identity and two checks. The suspect was seen on camera forging and depositing the two checks ($260 and $225). The suspect opened a credit card in the victim’s name and charged $845 to it.

Patrick Lee Thomas, B/M, DOB: 1/17/84, of 2431 Cherry Street, Bossier City, La., was arrested by Officer Camp on a charge of theft. The officer was dispatched to a shoplifting, where upon contact with loss prevention, they stated the suspect was trying to take items from the store without paying.

The officers were dispatched to 711 Horseshoe Boulevard in reference to an intoxicated person. The suspect showed signs of slurred speech, strong odor of alcohol was detected on person. While trying to get custody of the suspect, she stuck an officer while being cuffed and was pulling away.

Officers were dispatched to 711 Horseshoe Blvd. in reference to a disturbance. The suspect showed signs of being intoxicated while in public and refused to give a correct name to the officer. The suspect was found in possession of crack cocaine. He also urinated on the officer.

The officer came in contact with the suspect in the 3200 block of Jana where the suspect was asleep in a driveway with the vehicle running. The suspect admitted to smoking synthetic marijuana earlier, where the suspect was found through Sandoval SO in New Mexico for failure to appear.

Every five years, several ad valorem property taxes are placed before the citizens for renewals that provide basic city services and salaries/ benefits for our first responders and other city employees. The last time this occurred was 2013. In 2017 the taxes expired, and we made the decision to only go out for the taxes when necessary, and not before.
