U. L. Coleman IV arrested on horse theft charges

The son of a prominent local real estate broker has been arrested on horse theft related charges following a joint investigation by the Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA), the Louisiana Brand Commission, the Lufkin Police Department and the DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Former deputy sentenced to 48 years in Webster child sex case

A Minden businessman who is a former Webster Parish sheriff’s reserve deputy is headed to prison for the next 48 years. Donald Boswell, who owned Boswell Remodeling, LLC, took a plea deal this past week when prosecutors allowed him to plead guilty to attempted aggravated rape following an investigation by the FBI and the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office.
